Description

HASTELLOY® 622 RTW Filler Wire is designed for weld overlay applications, featuring an advanced chemical composition that offers superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking. It also provides high oxidation resistance in aqueous environments, including wet chlorine. The wire exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion across various media, making it ideal for carbon steel overlay and cladding. This alloy is also well-suited for dissimilar welding with other nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, as well as stainless, carbon, or low-alloy steels. The RTW coating on the spooled wire ensures smooth feeding through welding equipment and reduces tip wear.

The HASTELLOY® 622 RTW Filler Wire is recommended for joining molybdenum-containing stainless steels, low-alloy steels, and alloys such as Hastelloy C4, C22, C-276, and Inconel 625 (2.4611). This ERNiCrMo-10 Filler Wire is ideal for a variety of chemical process environments and offers features such as durability, high strength, excellent workability, weldability, corrosion resistance, and suitability for all-position welding. These wires are manufactured to meet various standard specifications in line with industry norms and regulations.

Frequently used in cladding applications, HASTELLOY® 622 RTW Filler Wire is valued for its strong resistance to corrosion in both oxidizing and reducing conditions, along with its exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion.
