Molybdenum hardens and strengthens Hastelloy® C-4 Wires at high temperatures. This alloying element, as well as the properties it imparts to the material, makes it ideal for welding applications. These nickel alloys are simple to produce and shape. They also have high ductility and maybe cold worked. HASTELLOY® C-4 RTW™ filler metal is used for C-4 alloy gas metal and gas tungsten arc welding. The deposited weld metal has excellent high-temperature stability in the 1200°F to 1900°F temperature range. The weld metal is extremely resistant to stress corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmospheres at temperatures up to 1900°F. It can also withstand a wide range of chemical treatment conditions.

ERNiCrMo-7 Filler Wire is used to weld nickel-chromium-molybdenum base materials to themselves, steel, and other nickel base alloys, as well as to clad steel with NI-CR-MO weld material. Hastelloy C-4 Filler Wires have outstanding resistance to corrosion and stress corrosion cracking at high-temperature and are suitable for use in chemical processing plants and nuclear fuel processing.

Hastelloy C-4 Filler Wire is extremely resistant to a variety of chemical processing conditions. These include warm contaminated mineral acid, solvent, chlorine, and chlorine mixed sources, arid chlorine, formic and acetic acid, acetic anhydride, and seawater and brine mixes, among others.
