Haynes® 718 Filler Wire is an age hardenable Nickel, Iron, Chromium, Columbium, Molybdenum, Titanium, and Aluminum alloy that combines exceptional strength with acceptable manufacturing capabilities when annealed. While these filler wires are limited to uses below 650 Degree C, it is substantially stronger at these lower temperatures than Waspaloy alloy, R-41 alloy, or X-750 alloy. It is also much easier to weld than these alloys and less prone to the strain age cracking issues that plague gamma prime reinforced materials. These Haynes Filler wires have the capacity to perform in harsh situations. The quenching procedure enhances the hardness and toughness of the material after heat treatment.
The Haynes 718 Filler Wire alloy combine to make it appropriate for a wide range of fabricated component applications in both aviation turbine engines and land-based turbines. The alloy is also used in a variety of oil and gas well downhole and well head components.
