Description

The HAYNES® HR-160® RTW filler metal is used for gas metal arc and gas tungsten arc welding of HAYNES® HR-160® alloy. This alloy exhibits exceptionally high resistance to high-temperature corrosion, including sulfidation and chloride attack. This alloy is also an excellent option for thermal spray applications requiring high-temperature corrosion and resistance to abrasion.

HAYNES® HR-160® Filler Wire comes in solution-annealed condition unless otherwise specified. The alloy is solution annealed at approximately 2050 Degree F (1121°C) and rapidly cooled to give it optimal properties. Intermediate annealing, if required during fabrication and forming operations, can be performed at temperatures as low as 1950 ° F (1066°C) A HR-160® alloy is supplied in the solution annealed condition, unless otherwise specified. During fabrication and forming processes, the alloy can be intermediate annealed as low as (1066°C) for better properties after solution annealing at 2050 Degree F (1121 Degree C) and rapid cooling.
