HAYNES® M413 RTW™ filler metal is used for welding alloy 450 and other copper-nickel alloys using gas metal arc, gas tungsten arc, and submerged arc techniques. M413 has good corrosion resistance in seawater and can be utilized in marine environments where corrosion resistance is required. If a butter layer of ERNi-1 is first placed, the alloy can be utilized for steel overlay and cladding. A barrier layer of nickel alloy 610 is recommended prior to overlaying steel with the GMAW weld process. The RTW™ filler metal finish on the spooled wire improves smooth feeding through welding equipment while also reducing tip wear in contact tips.
ERCuNi Filler Wires are used for gas metal and gas tungsten arc welding and can also be used by oxy-fuel welding of 70/30, 80/20, and 90/10 copper-nickel alloys. HAYNES® M413 RTW™ Filler Wires have good corrosion resistance, especially to saline water, and ductility. HAYNES® M413 RTW™ Filler Wires are used in various applications including offshore construction, desalination plant, evaporators, condenser, etc. in salt and seawater processing systems.
