HAYNES® Waspaloy RTW™ filler metal is used for Waspaloy alloy gas tungsten arc and gas metal arc welding. In the 1000 degrees F-1800 degrees F temperature range, the deposited weld metal has outstanding strength. The most prevalent application for the alloy is in crucial gas alloy turbine engine components. The RTW™ filler metal finish on the spooled wire improves smooth feeding through welding equipment while also reducing tip wear in contact tips.
Waspaloy® Wire is a nickel-based wire that has outstanding high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 1600 degrees F. Waspaloy has a greater range of stability and strength than alloy 718. Waspaloy is heat treatable in three stages: solution treatment, stabilization, and age hardening.
AMS 5828 Waspaloy UNS N07001 Filler Wires can be cold-formed in the annealed condition, and may also be hot-formed at temperatures of 1900 degrees F or above. Haynes(r) waspaloy wires are suitable for gas turbines used in land/marine or aircraft applications.
