- GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Lime-titania based covering on core wire of 2209 grade, designed for highly pleasing overall operating characteristics.
→ Controlled weld chemistry (with C<0.03%) for achieving:
(a) balanced austenite ferrite contents,
(b) high resistance to general corrosion, pitting corrosion & stress corrosion,
(e) Pitting Resistance Equivalent (PREN) of >35,
(d) high yield strength (>550 MPa)
(e) High Notch toughness at subzero temperature down to -40°C.
+ Core wire of 2209 grade helps to bring about homogenous microstructure with ferrite
content of 30-50%
