A Hydrogen controlled basic coated iron powder type electrode designed for welding creep resisting steels and heat treatable steels. The weld deposit is of 5 Cr-0.5Mo steel type.
APPLICATIONS:
The 5Cr-0.5Mo steel deposit is suitable for elevated temperature service up to 600°C. It displays good corrosion resistance in superheated steam, hot hydrogen gas & high sulphur crude oil. Hence, it is recommended for use in boiler, super-heater, heat exchanger, piping & pressure vessels in oil refineries.
